Hi guy i finally got it finished, Gotta paint the body when i find the time

looks good man however, heres a list of parts you may want to consider as i didnt see them on your list of haves:

ds dogbones or flm cvd's
rpm arms or flm arms
hostile rear hubs
tr upper plate (you didnt specify which you had but both would be a required part)
threshold umbrella seals
gh shock bodies
phatdad shock shafts
outerwears
modified rc V1 rear bumper
killer rc stainless ps cable
shreadstack
phatdad rear engine brace set
ds axle extenders
lauterbacher or elecon clutch
gh aluminum rear shock tower supports
flm diff cups
spanny fuel line kit
team chase diaphragm filter
DDM 5000 Mah rx battery


with these added items you will have a better chance of actually being able to run your hpi baja but there will be no guaruntees, i have all of the items i listed as well as some you have listed and more and i am still not able to do any running with my baja, currently i have engine issues which should not be happening with as little use as mine has but i am still troubleshooting the issue and will no more tomorrow when i test it with an rx battery i made from one of my old 3300 race packs.

if it turns out to be the rx batt it honestly wouldnt surprise me at this point.
 
Thanks Mate, yes i know i have to get heaps more upgrades but for now i can run it and have some FUN! and also let my funds build up lol think ill definitely get all the phatdad upgrades next and the RPM arm set.......

Also good luck with your engine issues hope you work it out, pls let me know how you go.....

will do bud ;) hopefully you get to run it like you plan to even after all teh upgrades i finally stop breaking parts (well except my clutch) but now i have the engine troubles. right now i am looking into a possibility that it may be a battery problem because i installed a new spark plug in it but it is firing intermittently and a quick look on killer rc's forums (thinking i might have done something with all of the tearing apart and replacing of parts on my baja messed up something on my kill switch) i came across another having similar issues which turned out to be a battery problem. i have tore apart one of my old 3300 Mah matched race packs and made 5 cells into an rx pack to test and i will find out later today after i get back from my VA appointment.
 
sorry to hear that mate the killerbee's can be a pain sometimes if there not properly installed, but its hard to imagine it being a battery problem, If its fully charged it should spark and discharged no spark, thats all i know about them, does the car run at all ?

yeah the car runs but once it warms up t starts acting up, i took the plug out of it and tested for spark and it is sparking erratically. i looked at my tx where it shows rx batt voltage and it was at 5.4 so i recharged it adn checked teh spark again only for it to still be erradic. so for whatever reason i looked at teh tx again and it said 5.2V and i was not buying it so i decided to check teh pack with a multimeter and sure enough 5.2V.

so i cycled it a couple of times and when it was fully charged i immediatly checked it with the multimeter only to see it go from 6.0 to 6.5 (ish) to 5.2 to 5.4 (ish) in a few seconds. this makes me think the rx batt has a bad cell in it because although it takes a full charge it cant hold it, i wont be able to test my theory until this afternoon when i get home adn install the rx pack i made from one of my old matched race pack which still works and holds a charge like new (and it has seen a LOT of action :D)
 
yeah the battery definitely shouldnt lose its charge that quick, you better replace it quick smart maybe try another spark plug aswell....and my previous post im an idiot of cause the battery can affect the spark :o im new to the kill switch world they're a great concept when operating correctly :D couldnt see myself with out one ...

Thanks Andy, Its been fun building :) Cant make up my mind what color for the body, Was thinking a single color maybe Matallic orange, anyway cant wait to take it for spin

black mate will look ace!! thats just me tho... it will brake up the orange, or black and orange? up to you bud it yours not mine :lol:

Yeah black would look gr8 but i think its been done too many time...
but a nice two tone maybe black bottom halve and matallic orange top seperated with a nice pin stripe what do you think guys ? also what color pin stripe ?

Thank mate... iv got some insulation to go over the kill wires, will also tie them away from head to be sure thanks for your observation :)
