Hell yeah that would be the tits!

Would love to own a SWB Quattro would settle for a LWB but SWB would be better!
Never owned a coupe but i did have the saloon with the Golf GTI engine a 1986 80 1.8 Sport IMO best car i ever owned!:D

back on topic ive cleaned the bug and gone all over it checking everything before im let loose with it ive taken the ecu out of the bm as im using this next ive got to find a safe and secure way of mounting it so it can be used in both cars ive locked up the diff a tiny amount hopefully its going to put power down better now theres even more of it

can you make up a bracket that screws onto the pc screw points. then have the bracket on the car that fits via a couple of body clips?

that way its a quick and secure change over!!

got dyno results from ian today im well happy 6.6hp @17000rpm i asked him on recomened ecu maps and heres his reply

The default map in the ecu is map 10 which is an all round nice map. With your engine the higher the number, the more power you'll get but mainly in the mid and top end. The engine will go very very well on map 12, but you might have to richen the top end mixture up. I wouldn't recommend using 14 or 15 as they're really for on road racing with 23cc engines and can be to much for a 29cc.

anybody guess what im trying on the on road next yeap map 14-15 and 12 in the bug after ive ran with out ecu then map 10 on ecu then map 12,he didnt mention 1-9 or 13 so ive got a ton of fun coming

Bloody hell mate that things is going to fly :w00t:

it hasnt moved mate im all touring car mad at the mo,,the bugs got the right hump but is now fitted with ecu so she knows its her turn next,,but to be honest its pure filth and looks mint and i know whats going to happen its coming back covered in shite,i will be taking it easy for a couple of runs as its a brand new engine its been run in and the dyno graph tells me its going to pull like a train and the tps red race is going to make it pull faster and the ecu will be going on map 12-15 at some point

ren , i cant wait to see a video of this thing running, all that power!!! 6.6hp !! is that with a certyain map on the ecu and inc ignition.ive seen the 26cc oddie engine at the track and a few guys bash with them, but a 29cc will be monsterous!

I wish i new what my engine was pushing out, being a 27.2 its a bit smaller, id be over the moon with anything over 6hp .I know what sort of power they were achieving with the vic pro,but i don't use that pipe so have no idea.did you get yours dynoed with your victory or was a fg big power pipe used?

get a vid up asap mate, ive been waiting for you to get this.im still sprung on what engine to get myself so will be great to see how it fliessssssss!!!!!!!!(will be kepping an eye on your utbe channel)
ps, i should be entering the rossa speed challenge this year at shakespear raceway.I bet that engine could push some silly speeds with the power and revability .im sooooo jealous mate lol.nice one. id love to see how both blocks compare.

it was dynoed with a big power pipe and run up to [email protected] that was with wt 990 and ligtened and balenced flywheel which is now in the on road have you seen the vids of that going with the ecu on map 10 ian recomended me map 12 for the 29 and map 14-15 for the 23 the bug is now sitting fitted with the 29 red race and ecu

it made peak power at 17k??!!!! thats high! screamer.you will probably get peak power in a slight different place with your victory and maybe slightly different peak hp,but from using victory myself i see they are defo one of the best pipes on the market.i will check the vids mate, but as soon as you get some time, get some acceleration a nd speed vids going so we can see what its like mate.does the lightened flywheel interfere with the head cooling?? from what ive read there isnt much more you can do!! a great project mate and a great overall package, thats what im trying to achieve with the hormann.

the dyno is whats impresive the hp line starts climbing at 6500 rpm @1.5hp in a straight line to 7000 rpm @2.6hp @10000rpm its got 3.9hp @13000rpm its got 5.1hp @15000rpm its got 5.9hp @16000 its got 6.2hp @17000 its got 6.6hp on std coil l/b flywheel

the red race claims to increase power by @15% but lets it rev quicker and higher the ecu will change things as well and can add 0.5hp+

im thinking its going to be a handfull at 10000rpm not even half throttle its got 3.9hp the same as a stock 29cc zenoah on full throttle

i did check your channel, but only vids for the tourer,im not really into them.I want to see a vid of the bug with the 29 oddi and all the other trimmings you got on it doing some runs etc.
im still deciding if im going to get a redrace for my obr, also a oddie ecu is great for checking your max rpm,s and clutch biting point etc.once you get all your bits dialled in to work good together,it should be something else!
i was really thinking about going oddified myself before i got my last engine, after many months of searching i went obr as i seen a few that were very powerful and they have a great customer relations. but what really made me make up my mind was the fact that an engine builder and pipe maker (OBR and victory )worked together to make the engine and pipe that worked real well together to get max power/rpms .

the tuned engine is going back in the marder, maybe a 29 oddie would sit nicely in the hormann!!
etc..

its all done mate ready to go been started 2-3 times but hasnt been driven in anger yet just a quick try in garden which ended in me spraying mud though backdoor and up front room walls, from the 2 min test i had the bugs never moved foward from a standstill so fast the clutch comes in just right

in the vids of my on road running 23cc oddie and ecu on map 10 it hit over 19500rpm

yes i believe you, with that engine and small touring car wheels!
i cant wait to see the bug it in action! i bet its crazy with the marder size wheels.im using step studs at the mo,they spray dirt like nothing lol.
i know it will be off the line like a rocket ! did you get the 20/44 gears? , when i use 20/44 it just seems to hit full revs way too fast then just sits at full rpms, i wouldnt bother with 18/46 and 16/48 for your set up, i was using 22/42 on that acceleration test in the hormann section and it still like a jet off the go! that oddie and victory pipe is a right combo, i don't know anyone that has that setup as most oddies are 26cc for racing.

i remember when i joined up last year and i was hearing how good the 26cc heli was, now youve got a 29cc ported for your application with a redrace and ecu!!! you lucky sod!!llol, we are so jealous(well i am)

yeah i got the 20/44 gear set but going out on stock first just to see how different it now is,they can be canged quick on mine so ill take them with me,im going to use it as soon as wagons free for filming, plus i don't want to use them both untill after fri as there both having a photo session as the owner/mate from the tatshack tattoo studio wants to get some pics of both cars together, but im gagging to use the bug
