you will see a good difference but stock ratio wont do it justice.might just wheelspin until you hit full revs with that power, but i know you can manage that with your skills lol.yeah i got the 20/44 gear set but going out on stock first just to see how different it now is,they can be canged quick on mine so ill take them with me,im going to use it as soon as wagons free for filming, plus i don't want to use them both untill after fri as there both having a photo session as the owner/mate from the tatshack tattoo studio wants to get some pics of both cars together, but im gagging to use the bug
a stock motor with a good pipe can hit top revs on 16/48 straight away anyway.
i bet if you used 22/42 with the smaller lay of the bug,you will be very surprised of how little bottom end you loose and alot of top end increase.
you loose no acceleration as the wheelspinning is calmed down meaning the traction is better. i tried it once with my marder.me and a mate had same gears, raced and was equal,i went up 2 teeth and we raced again.basically we both pulled off kneck and kneck until we hit about 25mph,and thats when mine left it!that was with a stock engine, imagine that with your new motor!
just to put it in perspective, with 22/42 gears i can hit full speed in around 4.5 seconds , so the high speeds will be achieved even in small places.
you now have a very impressive set up.
i was checking out a quick release engine mechanism for the marder,i have one on hormann and can swap gears and engine within minutes.
