I figured that but I just wanted to verify.

I like the way you edited it lol. The fact is I can give a valid/impartial evaluation because I don't own them. TBH I'm not a fan of either car but as I've run them both I can answer the question that started the thread.

What car have you got your self croozer, I am pleased with the LOSI because it drives well and is based on a winning design.
I also had the mcd v4 comp. I got it second hand tuned up to the last by alro, always thought it was going to break but that was because of the power.

It was a simple yes/no question.

Personally I tend to dismiss non-owners with strong opinions.

But thats just me.

Opinions on their own I agree with 100% but opinions backed up with experience - thats a different story.

What do you own? have you run both cars? do you bash or race on a regular basis? do you know/speak to team drivers at all?

Have you ever raced the MCD in the same circumstances as the Losi to get a good comparison? or are you talking as a retailer.

Yea. Raced the MCD at multiple tracks and in the nationals.

Raced the losi at Sweetnapp and the recent challenge cup. My Lodi is currently on the way to the USA to go race at RCX next weekend.

Oh as to the retailer quip. We can offer both to our clients. But MCD is a hard sell.

The Losi has failed me once and that was an aftermarket clutch.[/QUOTE

:white-flag: its a shame :devil2: theres really only one way to sort this :w00t: a one on one race :2guns::jerry: i wonder if you boys live close, would love to see a grudge race ;), come on bring it:celebrate:.

Well I know that I can borrow a car, all minniripper has to do is turn up to a national meeting.

Oh! Man thats class, come on ripper bring it to the table, a great fight for YouTube lol
Its great to hear racers firing up.
I had both cars, I think it would depend on the track.

Ahhhhh, I thought you were saying Max on the phone lol, yes I do know Mike. :)

Hello Mike nice to see your playing nicely and making friends lol

Which is best, 2wd or 4wd? They can't be compared imo. It's a daddy or chips question lol. Both are great and both suck in there own ways but please don't try to say one is better than the other, it totally depends on what you want from your car another persons opinion will never be the same as your own. ;)

My opinion on 4wd cars :)

Losi's are great easily the best largescale car I have owned, simple :) Looks, size and 4wd not for everyone but I love racing mine :)

FTX Punisher, much fun to be had with these. Good bang for your buck, can get a little Chinese in places but once sorted and you get to know the car they are reliable and fun. Raced mine for 2 years, would still be racing one now but I jumped on the Losi Bandwagon. Yeah the Smartech engine that now comes with the Punisher Plus ain't ideal, but it'll do for a start and the are reliable to be fair. Just need to change the clutch shoes ;) A CY or Zenoah is a drop in replacement anyhow so the engine isn't really a deal breaker in my opinion.

MCD, hmmm. If you speak to Ross Mods or King Cobra they are the best cars in the world. In many ways they are excellent, great design. If you speak to someone that has owned one (and I recommend you do if your thinking of buying one) they will tell you there are some drivetrain issues in the real world. Apparently though there is a new car design on the horizon and hopefully they can build on the good points and make the next car great.

FG, belt drive, full stop the end. Never tried it, not heard too many horror stories about it, in theory it's a great idea!! but, it just seems wrong to me in an off road car.

What to get - if you just want a reliable fun car get a Losi. If you don't like SC trucks personally I'd get a Punisher but, so long as you maintain it well and don't mind the repair costs an MCD is equally as good, and made in Europe ;)

Not arguing so don't even try to start lol The above is my personal opinion. you of course are welcome to your own ;)

Nige.
