How can he do that when his coil and magneto pickup are separate? If you can kill the red wire from the magneto to the coil it will disconnect the circuit and the engine will turn off.Yea but the kill switch doesn't wire inline with the red wire of the coil. It needs to be wired across the red and black wires.
Its the same as wiring this to your normal coil

Then no worries?Yup

The Killer B comes with it's own shut off switch also.
So I wouldn't need a ground anymore?Yea but the kill switch doesn't wire inline with the red wire of the coil. It needs to be wired across the red and black wires.

Awsome thanks alot guys!!!! ?Both the shutoff switch and kill switch do the same thing. Its just that the kill switch does it remotely. That's why you wire them in parallel.View attachment 47617

Yes it's amazing! I wouldn't have been able to figure it out without @Scruffy and @crucialRCThis is yet another example of why this forum is so great! Love it when we can all tackle an issue for a member together!
Yes on a boat the pick up and the coil are both attached to the engine. The alx case mounting holes on the crankcase. I'm not sure why alx decided to use a marine/boat style coil but it is what it isJust curious, does the coil and pickup mount to the engine when installed on a boat? If not how are you going to mount them to the engine? Are there mounting holes on the block/head?

They are. I just have a crankcase and I'm building it myself with very similar parts. I didn't buy their engine I just bought their crankcase and reed. The rest I'm buying myself. For the price of these engines you would think it would all be assembled and ready to mount
