Octane boosters... Yea or Nay

I personally will doubt you'll notice a difference using a "booster" especially if you don't have a high compression engine. In which case buying race gas would be better then figuring out how much to add to get the desired octain rating. Besides 110 octain around here is about $8.00ish a gallon. Till your done with high test and the addative you'll be over what a gallon of race gas costs.... my 2 cents

Exactly. Also if u had a high compression engine and u needed higher Octane just get the proper stuff cuz it's definitely cheaper than octane booster and the standard gasoline combined.

I forgot which gear comes on my 5T2.0 G320 Zenoah but if it's a 20, what difference will a 22/23 make in comparison? I have a Bartolone pipe too. Will I loose low-end but gain high or the opposite?
 
If you just fire higher octane in an engine without the high compression needed to use it then you will get hot spots in the engine and pre ignotions which leads to more hot spots which leads to etc.. Higher octane means the gas burns cooler/not as willing to ignite really, but this can lead to wrong conclusions because consider that nitrous oxide is also considered "a cooling gas" but ram your engine full of it and odd things and runaway reactions starts, all leading to your engine go pop or melt your piston. At least that is how it has been explained to me.
