Before I got a 5iveT I checked out pipes and liked the DDM Dominator simply because it looked like a pipe on a dirt bike. I thought it would be a good idea to make my own silencer(lmao).

DDM sells one for $29.00. I have about that amount in raw material. I made one out of 316 stainless steel. If I were to add material cost and my labor rate, mine would cost a little over $300.00??.

Here are a couple of vids of the canister being made. I was too busy cranking handles and drilling to try filming the machining of the baffle.

I still need to score some Rockwool or fireplace insulation for packing. If it works out to my satisfaction, i will produce another one out of aluminum and probably gift this one to someone on the forum.

Damn that looks better than any other silencer on the market!! Great job TDC!

Thanks for the compliments guys. It is a little too heavy for my taste. It might be suitable for some of you big bore guys.
Yip what's his name? @lorraine if you give it to him it will highlight his invisible rcmax 40gt ???? then he could take a pic for us????????

The canister O.D. is 1.500", canister I.D. is 1.375". The I.D. of the baffle is 0.500", O.D. of the baffle tube is 0.625.

That's not the problem, the problem is it creating excessive back pressure which hinders rpm and power (and of course exhaust flow) from too small of diameter

But a silencer slows down fast moving gases that creates the noise!
