need help with me clutch spring

so yesterday i fekd my clutch spring via revving the engine with exposed clutches (dumbass idea LOL) and it stretched the spring. so i go to put on a spare 6k spring i had and when the clutch goes together (sucks to do so) it doesn't stay together, the clutch spring pulls the top shoe off the bottom one (it doesn't pull down on the shoe it kinda pulls it sideways which causes the shoe to pop off), so are 8k springs (the one that came with the fs clutch) and 6k spring (the new one) really different like in size? cuz its obviously not working.

The clutch shoes have to be bolted down before the spring will actually tighten up ,however ,if you are having trouble with
installing them ,try bolting one shoe on first ,then hook the spring in that hole ,while holding it ,hook the other end of the
spring in the other shoe before you bolt it down ,then bolt the other shoe in place!

If they are of 2 different manufacture's then it is possible that the spring wont fit in those shoes do to the thickness
of the shoe & hole ,or the size bend in the spring!
With that high output engine ,I would not use a 6k spring ,it will stay engaged some what close to an idle ,in which
will prematurely wear your shoes out!

bolts have nothing to do with this. its just un mounted cuz i had to remove the clutch to remove the spring. bolts and everything else is fine, just having issues with the spring.

i think its the angle of the bend maybe. ill try soon.
 
This thread is useless without pics ! Z......buddy.....just because you can interpret your issue discription wording doesn't mean the rest of us can....... POST HI RES PICS, explain the issue.
