If push comes to shove, I found a Motorsports shop that has Amsoil synthetic 2 stroke oil and a gas station that sells ethanol free gas both of which are close by.

Get the VP 40/1 and you're golden. Ive been running VP for years. My carb issues nearly disappeared.

OK, just got off the phone with my neighbor. He said he uses TruFuel (No oil added) and Lucas Oil semi synthetic 2 cycle mixed to about 28:1. He said it’s less expensive than premix and he hasn’t had any issues so far. He has five tanks through his 2.0 and his sons Baja 5B.

Thoughts?

Go for it. At the end of the day just about any brand works. You're over thinking this imo. Pump gas and cheap 2 stroke will work.
