My truck finally came in. I installed the kill switch. Went to bind my dx5c with brakes on for failsafe. Once the bind was complete the brakes applied and the servo stripped. I am so disappointed.

Took 2 months to save the money then had to find one because they were on back order. Bought it received it and can't use it. What a crap shoot day. Guess I will be calling losi first thing in the morning.

If this is the way this truck is going to be it might be up for sale soon.

I'm not giving up. I waited too long for this truck. I planned on replacing them just not the day I received it. Lol

Sorry to hear that. Next time set the endpoints before setting the brake failsafe.
Is there somewhere that the end points are listed? I did the steering once it was bound.

I just got two from horizon coming Tommow on warranty. They'll take care of you.

Bro there's a good video on YouTube. Its under your travel. I have the same dx5c.

Watch where your servo moves and watch the linkage. Adjust your travel to where the servo moves the same amount as the linkage does. No farther.

I have mine at 85% I believe

My local hobby shop is the best. The owner of the shop is going to pull his servo out his 5t so i can put it in mine and run my truck, while he works with horizon hobby to get me a replacement. They are always willing to go the extra step to make the customer happy.

Not necessarily for the throttle/brake. You have to check the throttle hammer at the carb and when doing the brakes, put the truck on the ground and drag it while applying breaks to give you a round about of what she needs then fine tune from there while running. My futaba and Sanwa have the brakes at like 40% or so. I know it's a different radio and my setup is different but to just watch the linkage, you could still be over extending the servo.

Everyone has their own techniques I guess
