i reckon you will be fine miles (y), maybe ,
tbh though the weight saving in the uber carbon over a stock chassis is around 360g from what i can see,
which is a fair old amount just on the main chassis,
i tried a home brew lightening of an hpi alloy chassis a few years ago by drilling speed holes in it in as many places as i could,
saved a tad under 200g off the weight, biggest mistake i ever made chassis wise cos turned it into a mobile turd maker :ROFLMAO:,
everything ended up covered in crap inside the chassis,
go for it with uber chassis miles, it will either work or it wont (y)(y), i'd put money on the former with the build you're trying though matey ,

Nice one Paul. ??

Was chatting to a guy about the the kraken x3 chassis ? and he was saying its not as light as you'd think??‍♂️ viz i would have thought it would be a weight saver??
kraken chassis has a steel kicker in the front doug, so yeh there tough, but front heavy,
from people i've known that have had em they do warp a tad after a while as well,
but that aint an issue on a basher anyways, and warpage aint super bad from what i been told,

pic of what not to do to lose weight off main chassis,
as i said in post above, i drilled out a 5sc chassis a few years ago,
good idea at the time till i used it in wet conditions :ROFLMAO:,
so here is the turd maker 3000, only used two or three times then got sick of cleaning all the crap outa the thing,
bought an i-rc to replace it ,

Just need to get some final wrap to go under there. Cover the holes back up

don't own it anymore though sean, chassis was as new and unbent etc, went to a good home to be used to test fit carbon parts (y),
it was swapped it for some carbon parts though so i didnt lose out (y),

You sure about that?

We need someone to do some proper controlled crash testing with the various chassis.

Im not volunteering. ?
Found out through a youtube group that the front chassis part like to break between the 2 bolts where the rovan chassis have issues at. Adding the plate solved the issue for allot of those people. They were using UFO chassis too.

best solution looks wise and easiness wise (is that even a word?) is get hold of a black i-rc alloy chassis brace,
it will add a tad of strength and wont look to out of place if its black (y),
and it will sandwich the carbon chassis between the brace and the front bulkhead,
