Hey y’all I’m looking for an ethanol free gas around a 93 octane that’s a reasonable price. I’m currently running trufuel which is a 92 octane ethanol free fuel for lawnmowers. I’m decently happy with its performance but at $25 a gallon it’s very costly. Does anyone have an alternative at a better price?

Theres a website cant remember what it's called have to look. That tracks e free at the pump. Just put in your zip and hit go. Some guys like 100LL but it's got more lead in it the vehicle gas did back in the 60-70s. So I would ahh away from it. don't want you dropping in IQ....

Thank you that spot in saint james is pretty close. Every ethanol free map I’ve looked at the closest place was in Riverhead.

Not sure if your shooting for the best fuels or a fuel that is more easily/readily available. VP ms93 is available @ about 15.93g here/~79 5gal can, c12 is $88 here Upstate at the Sled shops. Check VP Website for local availability, and shipping

My understanding is that an engine that doesn’t have modifications to increase compression won’t benefit from fuel over 95 octane. I’m assuming that the benefit is too negligible to justify spending $88 for 5 gallons over $15.

Best fuels meaning VP brands. I'm running C12 because I'm running a RCMAX 80. I was referring you to VP MS93 as a high grade fuel @93 rating
And I agree there is no need to run c12 in a unmodified engine

you might want to see if any one sells VP Racing fuel in your area. Normally is is $12 a gallon for 101, but they do have a couple lower octane fuels. And all VP gasoline is ethanol free.

We sell VP c9 and 110 at my work, I'm thinking of going to p1rc when it opens, I give a heads up and I can bring it to the track. VP c9 is 96 octane unleaded and 5 gallons is $75.00. Vp 110 is 110 octane leaded and 5 gallons is $75.00 also.

Stupid noob question.. Wouldn't changing the primer bulb and Diaphragm take away the ethanol issue? ?
No, kinda, still have to worry about the metal in the carb. It's not really an issue if you keep after your stuff.

Last we checked rc max website and they said 95 octane was the minimum required fuel. Running higher is of no benefit other then to lighten your wallet.

This picture is taken directly from the 80 supreme manual listed on rc max site. There recommendation of c12 is a quality issue as they sell world wide and not all countries have the standards the US and EU do.

Thanks for sharing, I entered my state of NH and i'm very surprised that there's quite a few locations throughout the state that sell E free fuel. I didn't think this was legal for DOT "on road" registered vehicles.

It's not its sold as recreational fuel. Few of the places that have pumps out back wont stop you filling an older vehicle up with it. The one a few miles away may be changing hands and I hear they may also ditch the vp fuel dealership as well. The place will loose a ton of business if they do that.
Heres from Mike, regardless, I know what I'm running I'm my engine?
Can only go off the information they provide in their manuals. If he truly wanted 100 octane then they should have it kits in the manual. Tbh I doubt there is much difference performance wise between 93&100. Would be interesting to see if anyone credible did some research on it.
