I'm attempting to reset my steering.
  1. I removed the servo horn from the servo.
  2. Transmitter steering trim is set dead center and turn on transmitter, then receiver.
  3. Servo repositions itself
  4. reinstall servo horn with wheels set as straight as possible.
  5. turned off transmitter, the servo cranks hard left. (doesn't do this if I turn receiver off first)
  6. Turn transmitter back on and servo is re-centered
QUESTION:
  1. when reinstalling the servo horn, does it need to be 90 degree, perpendicular to the servo?
  2. when i turn off the transmitter off first, is it normal for the car to turn hard to one direction, but re-centers when transmitter is turned back on?

My 2.0 doesn’t do that maybe a bad receiver is it all stock?

i would try to rebind your radio and receiver. You may have accidentally had the wheels turned when you completed the initial bind.

Always shut your truck receiver off 1st then your radio, as the electronics are going into failsafe when you shut tx off first and the rx losses signal. If you haven’t done it yet get a kill switch on it and make sure you have the kill switch engaged on the tx when you re bind as the failsafe!

What transmitter are you running? Sounds like the failsafe is set to full left. I've seen some people do that so in case of loss of signal the car will failsafe and go in circles and then apply brakes.
Sure I will try to rebind as suggested above. I am running it with the Spektrum DX3 transmitter.
