If it's the cast head your concerned about, I don't think there is any negligible difference between that and the billet head performance wise, if there was , it would probably be said. And you shouldn't destroy it with the bash bar and what not installed, plenty of protection behind the cage and again, basher bar.

Yea the cast head and billet head are the basically the same performance wise. It’s only nice new and shiny right after the build is complete. Lol I’ll make sure to take photos as soon as it’s done

Got the gear box assembled may need to take it back apart to shim the play out of the layshaft

started mocking up the rear and decided that I’m going to throw away most of the Baja stuff I have

did some more work to the front. Only have the axles and hubs to order and then all the losi stuff is finished.

gonna rebuild the shocks and replace some of the important components because they are rovan shocks and I don’t trust them

Rovan baja shocks are poop and will not hold the weight of that 50gt and whatnot. Also ditch that garbage stock trans plate, it will crack and you will destroy your gears.

Except they arent genuine hpi, genuine hpi has rounded edges on the caps and plastic shock bottom, doenst matter though as they are both equally garbage. And we both know I can't read

A bit of play in the lay shaft before final assembly is normal .......don't and any shims

Prove it. Also the losi/rovan shocks are in bad shape they need new caps, plastics, springs and oil and then they will be better than new
