Air filter oil?

I see that's a spray on do a can last you a long time? Would rather a liquid sometimes nozles stop working.

i always used k&n, but its not cheap ( I use it on my 2 stroke bikes too tho)

Bel Ray filter oil and cleaner. Used this stuff on nitro rigs and on my 1/5th. This stuff gets sticky as all get out and even in fine dust has suited me well.

Currently using motul air filter oil. No reason other then its very tacky like we need for foam filters and about the cheapest last time I needed some.

I'd avoid the oil in the can I have the pj1 and wasnt thrilled with it. I use a maxima foam filter oil and is much better with tacking up

i use the same as ryan on all foam filters ,
the oils in a solvent that wont attack the foam, that solvent carries the oil right through the foam,
gentle squeeze out and let the solvent evaporate off and then a bit of kitchen paper to remove any excess,
the stuffs mint ,

Where was this thread last week! I just bought a can of pj1 and lathered up my foams. Like Rep say's it's not tacky and almost seems to dry up. I do like how the foam absorbs it though. I have some Traxxas? red filter oil, and this stuff is crazy sticky but too much. Don't feel like it spreads itself well.

Let me ask this question to you guys..... The tackier stuff, how is it to clean? I'm starting to learn I need to clean my filters by weekly and feel the more I squish these foams the larger the pours will be. Might be in my head idk.

the maxima fft stuff is fine when cleaning monster ,
i clean filters regular as well and i just use fairy liquid (dish soap) and that brings all or most of the old oil out,
rinse really well then just let dry and re oil,
never had an issue yet with pores opening up, but if and when they do , just buy a fresh filter
would take quite a lot of washes to knacker a good filter though,

Don’t use that it’s way too slick and does not help at all

The offer a liquid also, but I use the aerosol

You got me worried after that last air filter thread we were in and you mentioned foam filters coming off the rubber, I had it happen recently on some old foams. Tore while I was squeezing/cleaning. Needless to say it got me nervous. I'm even thinking about putting a bead of glue around the good ones I have.

Ok good. To be fair the foams I was cleaning were around 7yrs old lol. Prob same filter in my Marder speed run video.

Yes I routed the problem to a gap between the velocity stack and the filter due to the the stopper in the filter. This caused me to over tighten without knowing.

K&N air filter oil. Works great on my Cars and Motorcycle and works just as well on the 34.
