Hello All Again

So decided to purchased the two 1/5 scale vehicles I mentioned before.... Having a blast with them... So I had a buddy come up to me and asked why I didnt but them new .... Since his thought process was that newer was better ... That the technological advancements outweighed the old technology ... When looking at the new stuff I didnt really see a huge differnece ... Yes chasis lighter with carbon fiber and yes shocks possible more travel ... But the basics of them all kinda were the same ... Now don't get me wrong I am a newbie to this .. When I look at the f1 style cars I can see a monster difference but these off road 1/5 scale gas onroad and offroad vehicles .. Don't really see much of a huge leap besides shiny coloured pieces ... And yes radios have come along way ... Any thoughts out there ... Just want to start a conversation not afull out debate ...

Most 1/5 platforms haven't received earth shattering changes. The 5ive t 2.0 had a slight drivetrain mod to improve geometry everything else is more or less the same.

You can only have so much technology on an rc car before the fun gets taken out of it and if anything I'd rather see advancements in radio and servo technology because that's where most of my issues were

Agreed. I went through this flying rc helis. 10 years ago helis were much funner to fly. Electronic flybarless controllers basically ruined it for me.
