Was your clutch spring broke?...sounds like something got in the clutchbell, maybe the spring snapped and jammed up and broke the alloy clutch mount and then it snowballed and destroyed everything else...you really don't seem to be having any luck with your drivetrain.....i've run in our local gravel pit(not a good place to run really) and had some small stones get in places and lock stuff up but never broke nothing like that.
hello mooman
if you look at slawhammers post on this thread i think he is on to something.
he states about my open type clutch bell and he is right, that day i ran an open clutch bell and you see the result of that, what he suggests is that the sand made its way in to my clutch and heated everything up and wrecked the parts.
i had just rebuilt everything that time(month ago) ran few times and now that all them parts broke i have a lot of new parts on the way from hobbythek monday, new clutch kit including elcon stronger spring, new clutch carrier, new clutch casing, bearing kit,new alloy gearplate &large engine mount, new layshaft and elcon adaptor for spur, and new fuel tank, got whole order including new gaskets and others for 380euro,expecting it monday now,REUILDING STARTING AGAIN.
by the way, will the elcon spur gear adaptor fit the standard layshaft?
p.s i was running the wrong tooth on the layshaft maybe that may not have helped, how i made that mistake i don't know! i was running a 16tooth
new 14tooth on the way aswell....
