My baja a.k.a The money pit!!

Hey guys im thinking of going big bore with my hpi baja 5b and was looking for some advice on where to start as far as strengthening my drive train to with stand power from a rcmaxx 40cc-46cc engine. My buddy's got a rcmaxx 46gt in his 5t and he's got me wanting to do this big bore engine build. He did a few mods to strengthen it but I wanted to see what people have to say on here. Here's my hpi baja 5b I plan to use . Thanks in advance for any help!!

Id get blackbone trans gears and a set of irc or phatdad cups and bones. Taylor rc or kraken layshaft Taylor rc quick diff and a front chassis brace. Brp of Taylor formless wheels

Firstly what's your total budget? You can get by pretty cheap with upgrades for a 40cc.

Hpi diff gears will be plenty and so will the diff, I'd upgrade the trans case though and cups/axles to irc or phatdad as doug said. Also will need blackbone gears, I'd start with 22/52. I ran almost a stock baja with a 40gt and minimal upgrades

Well.i don't really know my budget yet cause I don't know what it costs to do this kind of thing but I know.my buddy has about 2200 in his engine swap that's including the pipe and everything needed to drop it in and mount it. Was hoping to find a setup slightly used but maybe I can do it new if I can find the stuff cheap enough lol

No carb, I'd recommend a rt990.
