Need help with my pull starter on the g320
The pull start looks in good condition.. But every time i try to start the engine the bolt holding the retaining washer pops out.
How tight should the bolt be fastened??
If i fasten it too much the recoil spring doesn’t work..

I'd get a new one as its plastic and the hole is probably feked

As rep says buy a new pull start fella, try stay away from the cheaper ones, they may last 100 pulls, may last 1.

Hold on.. Before you chuck the starter in the bin there is a cheap fix, simply remove the stripped screw and drill through the starter and housing and put a bolt and nylock nut in, bolt through the outside and nut on the inside just tight enough so the starter spins freely.
