Upgrades include:

New 100kg servos
Aluminum Battery Box w voltage readout
Upgraded HD Extra Large Capacity Shocks with 10mm shafts.
Upgraded hardware
New hex style revere gear for easier reverse
engagement.

Sounds like parts will be available early February for us that just want upgrades and full rigs ready now.

Sounds like Primal did a solid job addressing issues we have seen in the V1 and V2 rigs.

Looks good I like the black anodized parts
Shock upgrade is nice, as are the servos, wished they upgraded the diff cups and axle pins and stuff for the guys who want more power
Did they do any upgrades with the engine at all? That's one thing that really needs an upgrade IMO
The squarebody will make the chevy guys happy!

It looks like same 49cc engine with just black vs red. However, maybe its just me, but both trucks look quicker in the video they posted then the stock Raminator V2. But in all upgrade listings..says nothing of anything new engine or carb related.

I watched the vid and the Chevy truck with the narrower tires does look like it has more get up and go
Prob because of the less rotating mass of the skinnier tires
I see primal has a bartalone pipe available for the stock 50cc and tmr engine
I bet that pipe will wake up the stock engine. I always thought the stock pipe was holding the engine back a bit in the power department
A few times I blew out the silicone coupler and the engine seemed more lively when the coupler let go

Ya I’m pretty sure that pipe will make a huge difference in performance.
If I didn’t already have the Taylor setup I’d be getting that pipe! Lol

I'll be ordering a v3 mega shortly
I would love to add a Mega to my collection! I think at the moment, gonna swoop up the new 2021 Ram body as soon as its available, then save for the Mega. Gonna be a bit of a wait for me me, but will be worth it. That's why I am torn on if I should pull the trigger on the Bortolone pipe for my stock engine. Not sure if that price tag will show me the gains I expect or hope. Cant find any running videos of a stock engine with it. I hit up Bortolone, just waiting for a response...sure it will be next week due to the holiday.

I’d like to get the new Mega but I will just get the tires/wheels so I can turn the ram into a Mega whenever I feel like it
I might get the new square body for something a bit different
Primal raised the prices of the trucks 400 bucks too I see :(
Are the carbon fiber chassis plates any good? Was thinking about getting them to shave some weight off the truck

I don't personally know anyone running the carbon fiber plates. I know dude from Foundry RC swooped them up, but I never saw or heard anything after he got them. Guessing the prices went up based on the upgrades they did.

Carbon plates seem to hold up well, their are a few who are running them on the primal Facebook pages. Not a ton though, I will be running them also on the raminator once I get some time to swap them

Heck yes John! That is what I am talking about. Gonna do the 2" extension on your Raminator or the Mega truck? Really would love to see a side by side shock/spring comparison of the old vs new.

Going to put it on the mega. Plan to leave this one alone somewhat for awhile as I just have to many projects with this losi and mcd coming.

Probably do some small bolt on stuff maybe for the time being

The Mega seemed to run pretty decent from what I seen in stock trim
That bartalone pipe is prob all it needs
Hopefully they took more care when they assembled the new batches and went easier on the locktight
When I get the carbon chassis plate I’m going to dread swapping them out because I know I have a few stripped out bolt heads to deal with because of too much locktight from the factory :(

I used a butane torch and I never stripped any. The v3 also has cap head screws instead of the pan head style

I seen that they got rid of all the button head bolts, definitely a smart move on their part
A couple months back I ordered a complete bolt kit from primal so I have lots of the crappy button head bolts to use up :(
I tried using a heat gun, soldering iron, and a propane torch on some of those bolts but still stripped a bunch out
I have two bolts that hold the red plate to the tranny that stripped out and a couple of servo mount bolts/ sway bar mount bolts that I need to drill out
I just left them alone for the time being but will have to deal with them if I replace the plates with carbon ones
