So I fired up the dbxl for the first time today. When I went to give throttle the front tires would spin one direction and the rears would spin another. Anyone have any clues? Thanks!

yeh yer front diff case is in upside down mate,
dbxl front diff case can be installed either way up, at least the older ones could be, so i guess thats the issue,
so the drive to the front diff is reversed (y)
Thanks spents. I tried to post a video but i got some kind of error. So it must be the rear diff cause the rear tires move backwards if that makes sense 🤔 I will have to tear into tomorrow and see. Thanks again for the help.

I concure with Paul for the fact that I did that while rebuilding the diffs for my friends dbxl. I did one better tho I put both of them in backwards and he sent it in full reverse under his jeep 🤦‍♂️

Are the DBXL diffs easy to rebuild? Besides putting them in upside down?

@ spents You hit the nail on the head. I had the rear diff in upside down. 🙃 All good now 🤣

@hqabuggy they are easy but my genuine opinion is the stock housings are absolute dog poop as well as the carrier and pinion bearings. My friend blew both of his diffs into pieces due to bearing failures. Also if your not quick to catch the bearings say good bye to your ring and pinion gears as they chew themselves up badly, the parts were on national back order and he ended up getting them shipped from over seas.

Would you recommend getting the aluminum housings and upgrading the bearings? I'm coming up on my 12th tank of gas and have a feeling that my diff is gonna need some work soon.

Yes get fast eddy bearings and the only set of cases I believe are from fid racing. Don't forget part of maintenance on these are checking, cleaning, greasing the bearings
