Tire and foam of choice for racing 5t

Hi I haven’t raced my 5t yet but was wondering what is a go to tire and foam combination of racers out there. I did take note that a track in the northeast that I will be going to has a pin style tire only policy!! Is this the norm for all 1/5 scale tracks. Thanks

Pin tires are for track use and its to keep the track from getting shredded by the trucks. Will they allow the stock 5t tires to be used as they resemble pin tires anyway. What version of the 5t do you have? 5t v1, v1.5 or 2.0?

Lots of guys, actually probably most guys these days, run MCD wheels. No beadlocks so nice and light, and they're strong

MCD 180mm as used on the W5. Lots of compounds and treads, so they're track/surface specific really

OP was saying his local track is "pin specific" and MCD have pin tyres in various styles
