I just installed Jetpro v2 silenced on my stock motor and i am disappointed with the performance. The Jetpro didn't improve much on performance over stock pipe. No wheelie and top speed is not fater than stock pipe. I try to tune the motor leaner on low and high needle but not much difference. Any suggestion?

I use a Samba on my MT and it wheelies from the start!I thought Jetpro were better? Needle settings are 1-1/2 on the low and 1-3/4 on the high with the normal 25-1 ratio of oil and fuel. But I do use high octane fuel (Shell super).Try that and you may get better preformance.

Must be someone wrong with your tuning, any tuned pipe will give a large increase over the stock box baffle. Maybe try 32-1 mix.

Assuming you have a stock Zen 26cc?

No I use it all the time and find it gives a crisper response...not had any engine troubles and mine runs really well :)

yeah its new pipe and new MT. 32-1 is not gonna hurt the motor? The gear is stock too.

Is the pipe new or used?

Are you missing any performance or is it just high or just low performance that you have not gained?

Count your teeth on the spur shaft gear. (Little gear in the back of the motor that runs the differential gear) How many teeth are there?

In my opinion you will not find your problem switching your oil and fuel ratio or changing the ron or octane higher. You need to start your settings on the carb back richer then stock and lean it out from there to find your sweet spot again. Re-jetting is needed each time you switch your exhaust set up.

What does your plug look like. Your spark plug is the real tester of your performance. Too light to white and your too lean. Black or dark brown your too rich. Light tan (Cardboard box color) and your right on.

Follow this post to help you tune it up: https://www.largescaleforums.com/showpost.php?p=23906&postcount=4

Ok i found that there was twig on the differential gear so i took that off. I checked the spark plug and its black, so i guess i'm still rich. How do you rejet it?

If it's rich you only need to wind the needles in a very small bit at a time, and you should see the performance improve, but you will need to adjust your idle as you lean the engine up. Check the plug after a couple of runs to see how it's doing (don't let it idle too long before you check the plug, or the colour will change).

Did you look at the post from "T" showing the ESP tuning instructions? Take your needle turns in 1/16ths and make sure its warmed up.

I heard those pipe are garbage, they are not worth the money for only .2hp over a stock can. But to each is own right?

I wouldn't agree that they only give you .2hp over stock you get more then that taking the stock can off and running without. With any tuned pipe you will get more then that. Whom ever you heard that from was not a fan of the pipe I would believe?:glare:

Jetpro gives a decent boost over the stock baffle like any tuned pipe does, I would have to agree with Bigger that whoever told you that was not a fan of the pipe, or had experienced poor performance because they weren't able to tune it correctly.

I got a jetpro for marder and it gives a huge gain over a stock can.
Definitely mixture if plug's black and will stop you getting on pipe....tune your H needle first in small increments lean it out til it starts sounding crisp and gets on the pipe...keep checking the plug for choco brown (4-5 seconds WOT then kill engine asap) once top end is set tune L needle for off the line acceleration.

well i sorta tuned it and i get alot of wheel spin but no wheelies and the top speed is decent maybe i need a bigger gear. I think im used to my Baja 5T cus that thing just rips!!

You guys were right. I mixed 32/1 and it got much better. I did a small wheelie and the top speed improved. hahahah

If the fuel mix helped than you were probably still a bit rich at 25/1, but keep tweaking and you'll soon find the sweet spot. :)
