Bigger..Yes I just got one 7,000 spring in the mail today.....
Also another goodie I forgot too mention...The FG Wheelie Bar..
And it is mounted...after the testing of the engine..riding on the wing..stright up
to bad no camera action there.....
I will be using the LB Clutch after I go thru the CY Shoes...going to install the 7,000
spring....no more red springs for me....I think I have 3 new one's in the rat box...

Clutches like LB, Elcon etc....hard spring.....long manifold...etc etc....is only made because people do`nt have a good engine.....!

For me the moust importen thing is the heart of my car...the engine...

Please think about this;
A VW Beetle with a ferrari engine......or a Ferrari with a VW Beetle engine...?
 
Yes..the wheelie bar was shipped ..only took 32days to get here..by canoe..
Wheelie bar was to be here before the engine build was done...or about the same time..
so there would be no mishaps......Lucked out tho..light damage..just mild scraping...
..I remember you posted up a picture of the bent DDM Pipe...About the same time I got the new DDM black pipe......Madhampster in canada has my old chrome DDM Pipe...

egon..I understand you on the engine....there are some people that are still new to this 1/5 scale hobby..maybe only have a stock 23cc engine....
a real elite engine is well over $1,500 USD dollars....
and some of the stock clutch shoe's & springs are junk...not worth using...springs are poor quality ..the hooks break off...same as for shoes...the lining breaks up in chunks...
That is why some people are going to different clutchs....

No Roger........a kit that realy runs good, Piston Ported 27,2cc, do`nt cost more than 99$.......

This kit makes the different.....trust me...
 
Another item for stock clutch problems is sand applications.:no:

Its also about gearing.
I can take my FG and drop a 23cc in it and gear it low and pop wheelies like crazy, or take off the line like a bat out of Hades.
If I then gear it up I will loose the take off and it bogs.
If I swap out springs or get an upgrade like slaw I can pop wheelies and get higher speeds. Still not as much as a new motor but it can be a cheap alternative.
I do agree with you that a bigger motor is a great thing but, after you get the motor to a certain point its all about how much more you want to spend on a bigger motor.:no:

It can also be said that Ferrari does not use a VW clutch.:clown:

egon...I do trust you on the 27.2 kit..the 2 bolt kit is $99USD and the 4 bolt is$159USD
at this time O'neil Brother's is the only supplier that has the 27.2 4 bolt kit...
I will be building that engine next....But I wanted to try this marine head....I read alot
on this marine head ..so wanted to give it a try.......Slawhammer
 
I got a second test video in the testplace but I can't get in my thread...
I hope to run it in the morning...on the grass...slawhammer

I know you have a camera to take vids/pics with!!! Without your help, I wouldn't have had any idea what camera to buy!!!

Here ya go Slaw.

In photobucket, just copy the "IMG code" here in LSF . This doesn't work in RCU. They have wonderful ways of disabling everything useful.

You lasted about as long as I did over there.:laugh:

To copy the image/video you can do two things.

1. Copy the IMG code and then paste it to your post. This will insert a photo of your video as well. Remember this will take up some bandwidth too.
2. Copy the Direct Link, hit the Insert Link in the post box (One with the globe and link picture), remove the highlighted http/ in the box, paste your link. You will now have a highlighted blue area on the screen. You can leave it or you can start typing and replace the blue highlight to what ever you would like it to say when your done. Click HERE for example.:)

The only bandwidth the first one takes is 15kb which is a jpg picture. Very small. The video is actually on the photobucket servers.

I am going to get out after bit and see about a video as well as finish breaking in the engine........
As to RCU..they have jacked me around a couple times with deleted posts...
piss poor to tranfer a picture...Here it was the site and not me as too post picture
I did use Img to post from photobucket......
Besides this site has better people here....
