So last fall I installed the 2019 battery tray. I didn't really get any chances to test anything besides just making sure servos worked and linkages were correct.

I got out for some hard runs over the weekend and I was having a ton of issue braking. I narrowed it down to servo movement on the mount. How are you guys dealing with this? Just going straight to the hydrax or do you have a better method than drilling out the mount for larger screws?

Do you still have the rubber isolators for the screws? I've always locked the servos down with the aluminum clamps instead of the rubber. I raced my xr5 with the updated tray and it stopped one a dime when I needed it.

ALuminum clamps? I have the insulators and brass bushings but not aluminum clamps?

No problem, I was very picky with my brakes as I wanted them to stop the rigs quickly. I didn't like servo flex and brake rod deflection so I've been using those for awhile. Also when you hit the brakes how much squish are you getting from the rubber hose pushing against the brake cam?

I need to get the servo flex ironed out before I can really tear into the rest of it. Before I swapped the tray the brakes were hard and reactive so seeing as I've only changed the tray, probably not much, or not enough for my skill level to notice. Once I get the clamps I'll see what I need and go from there. I was actually pretty pleased with the brakes on this, the x4 rally they were not great.

Fair enough. If you see too much squish when you apply the brakes you can use the solid colored fuel line from ddm. Just another tip for when your down the road.
I got out today to a place where I can really stretch it out. The brakes are infinitely better. I do think I'm going to get that DDM fuel line. At full rip and I hammer the brake its not quite enough to lock them so its hard to tell how much brake I've got applied when its at the top end.

I have added the extra brace from the servo horn to the Diff housing. Removes any tray flex. Just used a longer bolt through a ball joint into the servo horn. Allows the servo to rotate as normal.

Thats a great idea. It never even crossed my mind.
