These days I am working with Lotus but I am thinking about project 3 (much better than others ).
Some friends ask for special rc car and call on ,me to professional builder.
Maybe there is interesting about it out there .

well mate you got a talent :cool2: if i could afford it i'd have you build me a lotus 7 :cool2::cool2::cool2:

Be a devil, go on!!
Conley V8.
It's only 100cc isn't it?

Can you believe those power output figures from that site fodellsport.it you mentioned?
6.5hp sounds a tad high!
All other 'high output' chainsaw engines seem to go to little more than 5hp, and that's with a tuned pipe.

Vissilise, Very nice work my friend. your abilities show in your work and details!

so your looking at around 28 lbs (13kg). yes a 27.w full mod motor would work pretty good.
But with an outstanding build like you have going on, i would want something that has the ability to put some serious power down. you could use BRP rims and tires (air tires) that are 1/4 scale and look very good. seems 28 lbs maybe a bit on the light side though. I hope you can keep the wieght down .
impo, you should look at building a full TS 4 bolt 30.5 reed case motor. You can build the motor yourself. Trevor has done all the tough work, and made the part pre ported and ready to install, so should you ever need something you can get it replaced pretty easily.

his reed case is 320.00 and the new 36mm Zenoah topend kit will come in somewhere around his other kits, in the 330s to 350s ball park. this will be a kit with porting specs built around using the 2mm stroked crank (36mm, 2mm Strkr = 30.5cc) i think using the 13:1 comp dom, but i may be mistaken on the dome.

so 320. for cases
340 for topend kit
55 for 2mm stroker crank is
715.00 USD for a full TS Reed Case 30.5 motor.
Trevors Reed cases are currently makeing some of the strongest running 2stroke motors for the way we use them.

the current cy 2bolt TS Reed 30.5 motors are making in the range of 6 to 6.5plus depending on pipe. i expect the 4 bolt will do just a bit better when its all said and done.

a TS/ESP 26 reed case motor won the 2009 Croatia F1 nationals.
infact Stegy, a LSF member is the guy that won, and cant attest to the performance the TS motors offer.

The builds looking out standing, cant wait to see the progress grow. just thought id offer up a motor option that may be in your price target, and offer excellent performance for you sweet ride.

thanks guys,

Charlieboy :I have some professional plans about rc car building and Lotus7 is the car which most of people ask.I hope to find the way to do it.

atom : Conley ,is an artwork . It is the best , far , engine for 1/4 Lotus7
but .... 6000 us $ maybe is a problem ( small ? )

Timmahh : BRP is the best choice and I try to take them for next cars.
Ι like TREVOR very match but there is a problem with
customs house.Make the engine too expensive in Greece.

Nice project. Did you make a mold first for the body? Body looks very thin to me. How many layers did you use? If you used a mold why didn't you use a gelcoating to color it and make it stronger?

Thanks Mr U ,

I didn't make a mold , I covered the forming block , direct ( nosecone ) and chassis (flip side ) .

I used 2 layers (160 gr/m2 ) and ,you are right ,it is thin. I 'll use 2 more layers ,inside.

I build 1/8 scale hydroplanes. It is not a real business unless you are able to produce large quantities like the many Chinese do now. They have better facilities then we have and for us it is a hobby. For them it is a daytime job. When you seccueed with your Lotus body, build a few more and have them on display on a website. If someone wants one, make a body on order. That is how I do it otherwise you have to many models in your barn/workspace without selling them.

I think that my projects couldn't built in large quantities, by me . I am aiming at specializes in quality and different rc cars , not only for driving .

This conversation with atom3624 ,in other post , gives my view for this .

PROJECT 3.

Remember guys, use the PM section ...
Very best of luck.
Great work and long may it get better still - still want to see that Bowler - and hear it with a V8 !!!
Alan.

Alan , I think that it is not necessary to win the lottery , for a rc car like this.
It is not a rc BENTLEY . It is only qualitative rc for big boys ( not reach ) who like not only playing ( with a low-budget and for a short time ) but messing about , have agood time for many years.
I am not a reach man but I like to take a quality product , built it step by step and keep it in my living room .

There isn't any rc company of my own .It is only a think( and what I would like ) about rc projects.
I hope to give an explanation about rc projects with my moderately English.

Vass, the silence is deafening!
It should be finished now, with Barbie and Ken inside! :clown:

Barbie , couldn't fint .... clothes .

I made a .... new cover , becouse the first was very light . New parts have a
spacer between layers and now are durable.
I complete wheel's covers , windscreen and reversible bars and brakets , rear and front.
For all these I 'II take photos tomorrow .

I worked in my lab, after midnight ( ...with ghosts) and not every day ,becouse I had ( and have ) a lot of business engagements (patiens ,.... not rc cars) .

Vass

ps : Have you ever seen disk brakes , in rc car , with adjustable bindicator, between front and rear axle ?

Do you like the idea in Lotus7 (now ) and in Bowler later (.... soon , not very) ?

Listen Vass, it's very simple.
It's YOUR car, your lab., your time .... do what YOU want!!
WE definitely like what we're seeing, and I certainly hope you enjoy doing it as much as you appear.
Profound - perhaps a little, but meant well.
Good luck and let's see those pictures, THEN THE VIDEO !!
Alan.
