Hi all, just thought I would share this. Its the first "Hyper-Creation" !!
I know its nowhere near as complex as a lot of the stuff you see on here, but I'm pleased with the end result !!
I saw Martins Scorpion front chassis brace at Deeside, and after struggling to find one in the UK, decided to make one.
I got some 4mm thick heat treated ally sheet off fleabay for a fiver ! (200mm x 200mm). I cut it to 90mm x 180mm, marked the place where the bend was needed and bent in the vice at work.. (I have no proper vice or bench at home !!:cursing
(needed to tweak the bend a few times to get the angle exactly right)
Then G-clamped it to the chassis and marked where all the holes needed to be and which bits needed trimming off. Then drilled and hacksawed and countersunk (in the vice at work while the boss wasn't looking !!:laugh
And this is the result ! I'm quite pleased !!!!!
Will be out next weekend to give it a good thrash testing !!!
