Redcat Rampage forum, since my first fifth-scale is a Redcat Rampage XR. But honesty, I haven't been contributing and I feel guilty about it. But since forums work best when others are seeking help or sharing projects (and not much of that seems to be taking place there), I gravitate here.

? This is one instance I'll be happily "cheap" and use that 400 bucks to get me a series of NEEDED replacement parts for my Redcat Rampage XR and Rovan baja 5b. (Of course, I don't envy or begrudge anyone who has the money to throw up and see it rain down in their faces. Wish I had. ?)

I hunted around my basement and found an old swiveling stool. I made some wooden brackets: Voila!

At one point I eased off with my tenth and fifth-scale rc car/truck interest and got seriously into air pistol target shooting. (In picture are 2 of my air pistols with customized grips that I still treasure.) But then I bought my first fifth-scale car, and that's the hobby that's paramount.

Now, I'm inspired to put my innovative mind to work. Thanks. ?????

It is. Maybe the extra weight makes a buggy slow off the line, but once it's up to speed, man! It settles in and goes!

A few of the teeth on the stock spur gear (made of some light composite material) on my Rovan 5b baja, broke off, so I bought the steel upgrade. Gawddamn! It's heavy! But I guess the description said it: "steel". What was I thinking. ?
