The cylinder bore is smooth, nothing feels odd.

Piston slides up and down as normal. I pulled the head back off, everythings lubed just fine. The ring is not as fluid as normal though.

Carb is snug, plug is snug. Top center of piston was black and thick. Is this normal? I don't know about this to know the difference.

Problem solved. The D shaft bearing (19t gear) was super sloppy and moved that gear around. As it turned out the stock plastic gear plate was wore down, allowing the bearing to move thus stripping out the 19t gear. I now have the aluminum gear plate. Thanks for responding.

I've been looking at photos of the FS monster truck and noticed that the wheel and tires look exactly like the setup on the 1/8 scale CEN Nemesis/Genesis monster trucks. Are they indeed the same? I owned one years ago and they were 23mm mounting hex. Are these also 23mm?
