Ho guys,my Tyrese are still going strong!! I haven't had much time lately to use my car due to family commitments etc... I think the best way is to buy some 'factory' foam inserts unless u can use strips of an old camping mattress made of high density foam or similar (maby a yoga mat too)!!t...

    make yer own tyres!!!!

you got it!!but use 2 wire wraps, one on the outer side of the tread and one on the inner... make sure you use a softer compound tyre up to 3 inch width.. as far as the beadlocks, they don't matter unless they interfere with the fitting of the "retread"

    make yer own tyres!!!!

i don't see why the paddles wouldnt work, the trick is binding the tyre to the rim if its been cut.......youll have to drill through the paddles to pass the wire through....or you could cut slots in the paddles to locate the wire....either way, you should get good life outta your new tyres,myne...

    Rebuild Your Xrc Driveshafts

ive found that hi tensile "roll pins" will work better...you have to drill out the holes in the driveshafts to fit the roll pins, they last longer than screws or allen keys....the only other mod is you have to grind out the yoke or inner hub to fit the larger diameter pins.:2guns:

    make yer own tyres!!!!

tired of tyres? ive been racking my brain, trying to come up with an idea to "vulcanise" the ends of the tyre, the only thing is ,due to the high rpms of the wheels, they want to delaminate and the only thing with enough strength is the wire....if you use knobbed tyres you can tie the wire...

    Rebuild Your Xrc Driveshafts

after my driveshaft destroyed itself,i discovered a way of re,building it....... first of all the drive pins are made of soft steel so you can knock them out with a hammer.i found an old allen key just a bit larger than the hole (you can also use a bolt or piece of steel bar),i tapered one end...

    make yer own tyres!!!!

gaffa tape is like heavy duty vinyl tape, its really strong, the wire is to stop the centrifugal forces peeling the tyre off the rim, because you have to glue a "strip of tyre" on to ur rim it has 2 meeting edges that have to be secured with more than glue!!! get my drift? cya out on the trails!!

    Holes in Hardened Steel?

i couldnt see on the pic if the axle has a flatspot which the grubscrew makes contact with,if it doesn't,just grind a small flat area on the axle and line it up with the grub screw.....should hold for longer at least......

    Holes in Hardened Steel?

what about getting a couple more grub screws and cut them down...use 2 grub screws per hub (using the second grub screw as a lock)

    make yer own tyres!!!!

yeah the wrap is very necessary due to the centrifugal forces on the tyre.If there is a way of "welding" the join, you could do away with the wire...i guess you could stretch rubber o rings over the wheelinstead of wire..or even use bands made from bike innertube....hmmmmmm.....:detective:

    make yer own tyres!!!!

yeah they are sweet!!still going strong, just make sure you glue them really well!! they are fun on the road too you can get some mad drifting happening.....and less rollovers because they slide instead of biting in and flipping the buggy.... watchout on the gravel though, they throw rocks a long...
