i think you have to take into consideration that this is new and it is the 4wd so it is exactly the same as a fg baja but with a different cage and imo better body.

would love a link where you can get a brand new 4wd marder/baja with hydros and other bits for £600

didnt know was 4wd, also belt driven.not good!!!
don't get me wrong,i love my marder, one of my favourites, but there are tk10 hormanns going for that! sheeet, there was a mmx going the other day!!! as good as they are, marder is a sort of starter basher car, to tell you the truth,i wouldnt even offer him £700 for it!!!
for between £600 and £1200, you could have hormann, fg leo comp, elcon cleons, just all alloy and c/f from the factory!
actually for less then what he is asking,you could have a new losi!!!!!with radio gear,engine everything!!!!
like i said,marders are nice buggys,when i got mine,everyone told me they were good . i love mine,especially doing 70mph plus,but once you get over £600 and over ,you can go upmarket abit!

my hormann s worth around £3500 if was sp[anking, thats just the car without the spares, ive got spare alloy for every part,engines,filters,diffs. maybe £5000 new prices, if i put it up for sale, id ask about the same..

its funny how everyone in this thread has or have had a MARDER/FG, we know what they are worth,or not worth.

i have seen full alloy marder go for £600,with the good tx and pipe,being new doesn't put another £500 ontop, but then again,some people would think its worth it.
the main problem is to you its brand new,unused,to others it has already had an owner!!! so i know what you have spent onit,alot,but like i said,you can get a european racing car with hydro,crazy diffs,tonegawas etc. to the right person it would be nice,especially if they were going to do the same,its just people looking for a marder usually want to spend £300 to £600!
i wouldnt sell my marder because i brought it for £330,spent £700 at least onit,and will get £350 for it as its not like yours!!!

If you read my post then you'll see how much I've taken into consideration. His asking price is what you'd pay in euros from hobbytek so it is well over priced.

if you check the avatar, its his marder. it is real nice but needs to be a bit cheaper but then again someone might buy it if they arnt clued up what you can get for over a grand.
hows the racing going?
 
We've got this indoor meeting this month for a laugh then the season starts at Notts & Derby - not forgetting the european champoinships this year.

i thought that its the same as his avatar if thats the case its second hand,and as he states in another thread on here hes used it and it understeers much less than the 2wd ones,im a bit confused now,,is it new is it his has it been run.as for the price theres much better cars to be had new and secondhand,the marder 2wd or 4wd are great cars but dated now,yes they can still hustle and rip it up as good as the rest of them and theres a ton of spares and upgrades to be had

I see people seem to think that is MY marder for sale but just to clear it up it is NOT mine.

as you can see from my other threads mine is used and the one for sale is brand new, i can see it is very similar but i can assure you it is NOT MINE.

is this the indoor course down south? ive seen indoor tracks in europe, i bet it will sound awesome indoors!

anyway good luck with the racing, especially in euroupe.Its nice when the u.k boys do well over there ,its good for the hobby/sport.
but id like to say,its alot harder than how you guys make it look, even the back straight at NDOR ,im half throttle down there, you cant even see the track, just the plastic pipes lol!!! how the hell do you 'wot' it down to the hair pin!!!!
its the distance and angle which is tricky and depth perception, what looks like a gap twice the width of the car changes to half the width of it when youre up there lol!
btw, i was wondering what the tallest gears fg make for the spur and pinion,

all i will say is ive had a few LS over the year, they went and the marder stayed, it might be an old design but that doesn't mean anything when we are bashing(when it matters) i bash with allsorts and my marder easily holds its own!!! once you put a few bits on them they are ready!! and mine isnt even alloy!! a few bits here and there but nothing special. when they are alloy they will handle better as don't have as much play and flex.
i think the only time i would sell mine was if i was to get out of the hobby.(but im staying for now)
I know the're not the best out there, we know that ,but they are a good overall buggy and also suit begginers because of cheap parts availability,and easy to repair or maintain. but....for a grand there are others that can do it better,maybe not spanking but in great condition.
