Mine is a crest brand, but I got it at a yard sale for dirt cheap... the heater didn't work and I figured out the switch was actually shot so I scooped it up. Same company made the ultrasonic cleaner at the machine shop. Its a half gallon model. Great for carbs and small parts.

New piston installed but I'm missing one of the c clip retainer rings for piston head pin.

We will find out tomorrow if that's a problem

Try Maxima Super M. Burns cleaner, less residue than the castor based 927. I've been running it in my MX race bikes and jetski's for decades.

Yeah I'm Def gonna try something different next season. Now that it's getting cooler I'm gonna lean this thing out a bit and open it back up during the winter and see what it looks like. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into it.

Easy off does wonders removing carbon. Used it on some full size but not sure what it would do to nikasil though? You’ll have to do some research. It will etch aluminum if left on too long!! It’s basically foamy caustic.

I had the same carbon build up but switched to Motul because we ice race in the winter and Castol doesn’t stay as well mixed below a certain temp.

I actually use scrubbing bubbles foaming shower cleaner! Works amazingly well!!!! It works on everything it eats oil grease dirt and hasn't harmed any of the aluminum. Grab a can and read the back of it for all its uses.
