45cc and piston stop tool...

Can this tool be used with the angled plug holes in the 45cc engines? I want to put a regular pull start on this thing for better cooling and need to change the flywheel.

I use a clean micro fiber rag and jam a bunch in the exhaust port. No damage to the piston and it's cheap.

Never thought of that, thanks for the tip.

I look at the piston stop tool and can't help but think it will bend.

It's not the tool you need to worry about, it's making a hole in the piston and stresses in the rod bearings. A bit of starter rope in the plug hole will work too.

Thanks for the tips. Might try the starter rope since I have a few feet of that around here someplace.

few inches of rope did the trick. New fly wheel and starter setup installed. Thanks for the tips guys.
