Before you start your build, it may be worth knowing that Ian does a chassis mod that increases the running efficiency of the belt, i'll find out what it costs if you like.

What is involved with that? Would be worth knowing & depending on cost if its not do-able now then certainly to consider in future. Cheers Mike.

It's all top secret with his milling and cnc machine, he only told me because I threatened to eat all his pink wafers and Mr Kiplings

Somewhere deep in downtown Birmingham UK on a quiet street called Morris Road, a little dwarf is in Assad's front room working his fingers to the bone building a 4wd marder............the little dwarf is having to work well into the night to make up for lost time due to illness (the dwarf version of man flu is proper bad :D) and a contractual issue (the wife was down for the weekend with the kids :cup-1:) Progress pics will follow later :w00t:

"""Instructions are for finding out where you should have put the bag of left over screws, nuts & washers when you think you have finished the build """""

now that's funny:)

Got cracking after work and diffs are now done and mounted on chassis. Going out picking some tea up then the build will continue :D Pics will be added later ;)

Assad would have finished this build already - and done it right with no screws left.

Quick question - would you stick with the FG ally shocks (new seals already fitted + new oil) or go with the new shocks in the kit?

These are the shocks.........

The action of the belt seems to require a fair bit of force to rotate it by hand but I have checked everything twice and all is in order unless I have missed something!! Obviously everything is tight with it being brand new and there are 2 diffs to drive now so will see how it goes when its finished.

The good thing about this kit is the diffs are covered with the belt drive casing so no stones can get trapped like happens with the 2wd ally casings :D

Its all very well made and goes together easily so I wont be far off come Wed night :p
