I’ve had my used 5ive-t for a little over a month now and just discovered that the cage attaches to the chassis. I ordered all the nuts and bolts to put together and am wondering if it’ll make any difference in handling.
Any thoughts?

I doubt it will make a difference in handling. I personally never noticed it, I never use em.
I just use the clips up front & rear to hold it on.
That’s what I’ve been doing also. I’ll get the rest of the parts tomorrow, then I’ll give it a try.

It's gonna be like the difference between a U-haul moving truck and a Ferrari 308 GTS.

Seriously, I can't see them affecting handling. With the cage completely secured, I believe impact forces are distributed throughout the cage. I choose to run without the screws. Tie the nuts to the cage with some kind of string to prevent loss.
