hi gents. what are the good and bad of using an 8000 clutch spring, instead of the std 7000? this will be for a tarmac oval circuit. the motor is a mod 28,5cc zen in Baja 5b

Good is you'll have a faster take off (if you have the traction), bad is that your more likely to break traction (if you have not so good tires), especially on tarmac
 
Really depends on your use. For me I use 9500 spring becuase I have alot of traction and i don't want it to bog on take off. But for you, I'd stick with 6 or 7k.

8000 is fine for tarmac, used to run that in my 2wd marder onroad. With 6k spring there is a little bit of lag on acceleration. 8k is the sweet spot imo.
