So I am learning more and more about how King Motors wants your money, to hell with assembly details. I pulled my outer air filter cover to check the inner filter, guess what? Dry!!! I know this is partially my fault, I should have checked the filter for oil when I got the buggy but every other r/c car I have ever bought had a pre-oiled filter on it, figured this would be the same way.
Anyways, I took the filter, adapter, carb and base off the engine and cleaned everything up good. There was a bit of dirt in the choke area of my carb, some carb spray and its all clean and back together. I cleaned the filter and set it aside to dry. Grabbed the spare filter they supplied, oiled it up and I should be good to go now.
don't be like me, check your air filter for oil. How often do ylu guys check yours? I am thinking every tank is going to be the norm from now on, I don't want anymore dirt in this thing!
