Aluminum steering mount

Just won aluminum steering mounts from ebay. Do they help make anything better or did I make a dumb purchase.

They are a nice improvement. The bearings will do better in the aluminum version. The aluminum will dissipate heat generated by the bearings.

Can I get some help with this I put the pro spec bearing kit in and this is what happens

The wheels aren't spinning freely. I think its an issue with shimming. It works very nice and smooth before New bearings

Looks like it's just the diff doing it's job, dude. What weight diff fluid are you running? Have you tried turning both rear wheels at the same time? Was there any binding?
