Yup, everything I've seen says the same thing... the Electric and Gas versions will have the same price. Actually seems like a pretty good value for anyone who is after an RTR.

Thank you Shad0man, if they have any left!!!!! Every where l check it's a pre order with no guarantee of arrival......

Yes, the gas certain IS the same price as the electric...but, from what I've seen, the short-term cost will actually end up being considerably higher. Why? Because the engine they're going with is super-slow, and replacing it is something most owners will want to do within the first few weeks. So...take the $1,500 price, and add to that the cost of the replacement engine, and any other components needed for said engine...that's when you're have your true cost.

I talked with a guy at horizon , my pre order is shipped on August 19th , and yes ,,,,,, I’ll be putting my Taylor 46 in it right away , anybody wanna buy a fugijara ?? 🤣🤣🤣

Just curious...but, why jump straight to the 46? Why not go with the 40? Besides, is anyone sure that the Losi parts can handle the 46? With the Kraken RC VESLA & VEKTA, a number of people upgraded to the 46, only to start breaking numerous parts...but, both vehicles had no problem handling the 40. Of course, that was all before Taylor RC started releasing some seriously-upgraded driveline parts for those vehicles, after which they could finally handle the 46.

I'm one of those that would change out the engine as soon as it comes out of the box so i wouldn't care if it came with a 23cc cy. I'm just thankful that Losi or Horizon Hobby or whoever kept a 5th scale gas option for those of us who like to burn fuel.

I’ve got a 2.0 with a Taylor 50 in it , stock drive train no issues , my VESLA 46 and VESLA 71 are completely upgraded cuz stock parts will absolutely not handle Taylor power , both were fun builds though , I highly recommend there build exsperiance

What are we all thinking about the new Losi? I've been hearing about discontinuing 2 - 3 years after and then the parts dry up along with bad CS?
Any truth to this? i'm still thinking that i want one of these.

I can't speak for "length of time before being discontinued", it how long after until parts "dry up"...but, I can virtually guarantee parts availability will probably be 'difficult', and I give a "9 out of 10" on the probability of increasingly worsening CS. 🤣

Truth be told, the bigger HH gets, the worse their CS gets. Until around 3-4 years before the pandemic, they have extremely good CS. Unfortunately, since then, it's gotten worse & worse. Back then, you could call CS, and they'd spend as much time as was needed to resolve whatever the problem was. Not only that, but, based on their voice, you definitely got the impression that they truly wanted to help. Now, trying to get ahold of a live CS person is increasingly difficult...and, when you are actually able to arrange a callback (since we can no longer call them), most of the time, in hearing them speak, it sounds as if them having to call us is a 'bother' on their part.

I don’t agree at all , I have NEVER , had a problem with HH customer service in 30 years , including just last week , the 5t is a legion in this hobby , there’s going to be parts and upgrades for this thing that will go out of Controll , I just talked with Taylor rc , and he said they have big plans for the new 5t , so see if you can find one anywhere on the planet , if so get it before you can’t get anything BUT. , parts 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I, and the person who brought the subject up, we're talking specifically about Losi-manufactured parts, not parts from 3rd-party companies. As for your customer service experience, I'm happy for you. However, at the same time, you can find countless reports from others about the lowered quality of HH's CS.

Just to give one perfect example, there was someone who recently purchased the just-released ProBoat Sonicwake 36 V3. When he opened the box, and removed the boat, he discovered a crack along the transom, and he contacted HH about a warranty replacement. Their response, "You'll need to purchase a new hull." This was less than a week after making the purchase, and the boat had never even been in the water. Since HH refused to do a warranty replacement, several of us told him to take it back to the shop he purchased it from, have them give him a new boat, and have them deal with HH.
