Got down here with the missus & kids and she had 27 miles left in the tank and all 3 petrol stations near the site were out of petrol and diesel  Fookin government (99% of MP's for that matter) are a bunch of out-of-touch over paid useless cunts for creating this mess. Hopefully things will get better on Monday as most people will have made their journeys for the start of the hols by then so there wont be the same rush. I filled up on Friday when I got my car back from the gearbox place with only 3 miles left in the tank.......yes you wanker MP's I have a brain in my head and filled up when I needed to and not when you tell me to so shut the feck up in future and just keep it between you and your chauffuers

Know how you feel mate had to que up for half hour yesterday for my fuel not cos i was panic buying just cos i needed it! out of around ten stations locally i can only think of one that is not turning people away cos they got no fuel! its madness your rite the government are all a bunch of useless mindless cunts who seem to live in their own little world and not on ours:mad:

No worries happy to help :D

Picked the new motor up last Tuesday and it runs great! On the 1st run from the garage in Manchester down to Northampton it was superb & returned 37.6mpg at 85-90mph so well impressed  There were a couple of small niggles that I hadn't noticed when I looked at it; the coupe window is supposed to drop under the seal when you open the door then close fully again when you shut the door, the passenger window wasnt doing this but after some use of that door by the wife on the 1st day and it soon got going again so must have been shite on the contacts with being stood. The 2nd problem came about when I tried plugging tomtom in and the ciggy lighter didnt work so checked the fuse & it had blown so easy fix! Its now 'niggle' free and is in mint condition for its age inside & out. After coming out of a newer car where the interior and controls have moved on light years by comparison it does feel a bit dated but the seats are far more comfortable and supportive on long journeys (and they are half leather half alcantara :D). Those in the outgoing newer car were soft & gave me back ache no matter where I set them.

Things to do........
1st job - need a hands free kit fitting to keep Mr Plod happy!!
The centre console is the only part of the interior that needs freshening up so will take it out & either vinyl wrap it or spray it up at some point in the future.
The multi function display has a few pixels out & could do with replacing (£20 of ebay) so that will be done at same time as above.

Overall Im well pleased with it and the 2.2 petrol drives and sounds so much better than the diesel. At 150bhp they are the same but the diesel had so much torque it was lazy power and you werent as involved in the drive because of it. Glad to be a petrol drinker again!!
