i took the truck out today

i changed the layshaft gear from 14 tooth to 16 teeth, to try and slow down the wheelies as ive stuffed my body from doing wheelies. gearing now is 16/48 16/48

as you can see from the pic,s it still does wheelies but now is a little faster >:D

Hey my friend ..go the other way for the transfer gear....use a 20 tooth...
that will tame it down some......slawhammer

Think those Wheely's are all down to your 8000rpm cluch spring mate, if you put the stock 1 back in it will act much better.:)

Hey super it is not all about the clutch springs...to get wheelies ..it is about gearing and
tires ....good grip on tires will give traction..to pop a wheelie....you can do a wheelie
with a 23cc engine.....The red clutch spring will let you rev higher rpms for a good off the line hole shot.....Not to disagree....But is all about gearing & tires....same applies to real 1/1 cars & trucks....hepls to have the engine power as well....Slawhammer

Yeah, slaw, but he has top end dom..... like me, and my mt only wheely's after take off and not off the line, so this is why i think it is the cluch spring's....

wheelies

I changed also the layshaft gear from 14 tooth to 16 teeth.
My car makes wheelies its no problem, and with the standard zenoah clutch!
The car gearing now is 16/48T 16/48T.
Wheelies can without the 8000 rpm clutch spring.
The most powerful item on your truck to do that is the exhaust.
In my case the RN Fat Monster Power S,,,,,,,

Use a good wheeliebar, and you have a better control for this problem,,,,,,

i also ritchened up the the low a little, but i think all the 16 tooth has done is give better top end and made it more into a rocket, im happy with it, just realy need a wheelie bar.

ive gone with the 8000 rpm clutch spring as the 6000 rpm would wheelie off the line, the 8000 rpm it spins the wheelies off the line and takes longer to get traction, cause when its got traction it will wheelie.

so i need the wheelie bar asap as im happy sofar with the 16/48 16/48 gearing and im not sure if i can run a 18 tooth cat pinion on the 48 cat spur gear, and realy it don't need to go faster.

for a mt this things fast im not sure if i need to go faster as they short bash yesterday it starting to get to quick for a truck and im still learning the trucks behaviour.

im happy with the take off and im happy with the top speed im just not happy i havnt got a wheelie bar

ive been swapping back and forth with 6000 and 8000 rpm clutch springs, belive it or not the 6000 rpm clutch spring wheelies more and sooner as it gets more traction of the line and sooner.

the 8000 rpm clutch spriongs keeps the wheelies spinning longer and keeps the front end down for longer untill it gets traction.

any way i got the new rear lower alloy arms for the truck today, was to bussy with family stuff to fit them and take the truck out unfortunaly
