"Boost bottles" were a fad on 2 stroke MX bikes back in the early 80's . They were nothing but useless wallet bait gimmicks. I lost a piston on my 1982 Suzuki RM125 because of an air leak from the boost bottle intake boot nipple. You had to drill a 1/2" diameter hole in the rubber boot between the carb and cylinder for the hose nipple.
