Not arsed lol, just don't use them. Some of the flywheels have cast in keys. Grind them off and do as above. The key is really only there to make timing easy anyway. Just a preference I guess.

Thought I'd toss these on here for your amusement. Not me, but this is how I clean cylinders.
This guy is considered a master with 2 strokes in saw world. Has a ton of vids about porting and what not.
So when you have aluminum transfer from a piston there are really only a few methods for getting it out. Either acid, like Todd mentioned, or the method I posted (and use) is to sand or "buff" it off the cylinder.
I used to use the acid method and found it to be wanting and too much work. If theres a tiny crack or pin hole in the plating on the cylinder, the acid will get in there and make it worse. With some care you can sand the alloy off and get back to square one. Cant be reusing a cylinder that's had aluminum transfer stuck to it. Thought you may find it informative.
here we goHear hear! Most of mine are ported. don't have any apart atm that are in need. In rc we have a leg up, as we can easily run tuned pipes, and have room for reed blocks and whatnot. Saws not so much.
I'd advise getting a flex shaft for the dremel, and hanging the dremel up on something to help keep the shaft straight ish. That little pen really helps to get into these tiny ports. A foredom is better but not needed for the hobbyist. Imo.
+1?? get the foredom?? top bit of kitA foredom is better but not needed for the hobbyist
