Just an fyi, I run the 2.0 stock receiver with a dx5c and the killer rc switch and have absolutely no problems. The 2.0 rx doesn't have avc You just have to re-bind with the tx set to everything you want to happen in case of fail safe, i.e. kill switch positioned to off, full brake, etc and all features work for me. It's an awesome truck, enjoy!

uh, my 2.0 has AVC.

The Rigid stand was a cheap and useful purchase. Holds the truck Well and I can use it for its intended purpose as well if needed. I’m using that anti slip stuff the wife uses for lining the cabinets on our boat. Cheap and works great. I may modify it to swivel but it’s not really needed. I’m going to make a PVC pipe stand that swivels for the bench soon.

Well, looks like my hobby related ventures are going to be at Full Stop. Just got the estimate for my 1:1 truck. $3700.00 in repairs! Ah the joys of real life. Definitely going to be on a strict budget and much use of zip ties and duct tape in the near future, lol. Thank God for overtime!

It’s a 2009 Chevy Silverado crew cab 6.0L V8 “Hybrid” w/ 2mode, 4” lift

80k maintenance interval

New set of tires
Full synthetic oil change
Tune up (plugs, injector cleaning chip tune)
Brakes (rear calipers, rotors, pad, front pads, brake fluid flush)
Shocks and struts
Computer updates reset codes and new MAP sensor
Trans fluid service
Replace broken sway bar and bad o2 sensor
Install larger oil cooler and aftermarket air intake

I am very hard on my truck as my wife constantly tells me plus my youngest daughter wants it when she gets her license next year. I’m going back to a 2500HD D Max when I pass this one on to her. I just got done paying $2K on my wife’s Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8. First world problems and all that. :cautious:

Man, I'd trend brands if it cost me that much to maintain a vehicles ?. My brother in law works for a chevy dealership here in Lancaster, cant say I'd ever buy a new one from the stories he tells me.

I bought it in 2014 and it’s been fantastic ever since. The hybrid coupled to this massive engine gets amazing gas mileage and purrs like a kitten. It roars when it needs to and I can pull my boat or a 30’ box trailer with ease. My nephew races sprint cars and I’ve towed his to and from several locations for him with no issues. It’s partially my fault for not keeping up with service intervals. I hav always owned Chevy trucks and they are finicky but if you stay up on maintenance they last. My last 2500HD Duramax (purchased new, no bueno) was a Pandora’s box of gremlins. My brother in law bought it from me, completely tore it down and rebuilt it and has no more issues. I’ll never buy new again as pre owned Chevys are indeed better as all the demons are removed already, lol.

I could have but I am working 14 days straight, 12 hour shifts, at night, massive amount of OT and having no garage space thanks to my mother in law moving out of her house into a condo and storing her crap here because my wife offered. It’s been 7 MONTHS! She is getting movers to get her crap after the first of June thank God. I told my wife it was her fault I can’t even work on the 5ive T because my garage is full let alone my 1:1 truck. I’m glad she makes more than me in times like this, lol.
And if that were not enough, I have surgery scheduled in late June for my back. Yippe! :dead:

I hate USPS! Grrrrrr. They lost my Lipo rx battery. Waiting on the seller to refund my $$. Another setback to running this beast. Would it be OK to run the 2.0 with a 6v 5 cell nickle pack like what came with the 1.0 5ive T?

OK, I am going to want to replace the 80s CD player air filter on this beast. Unifilter looks good. Is it correct that I will need to buy a DDM velocity stack for it? 2.0 engine is a G320RC.

Personally I'd get the TR filter mount. I like how it relocates the filter in the middle of the truck. And you can run either the hpi stock filter, or a Honken arse aftermarket filter on it.
