I was very active on this forum a few years ago...got heavily into mountain biking( I still am) and put the 5th scales in the garage. Got the itch to run them again not too long ago. Pulled them out of storage and now I am hooked on dirt oval racing.
Didn't think I would enjoy primarily making left turns but boy, was i wrong. Did my first race last weekend.

Anyone else on here race dirt oval? Looking for some setup tips

Also, youtube F.P.V. video of my 1st race.
15 mins of my bad driving.
The intro is cool though.

Congrats on a good finish! I race 1/5 sprint and late model when I can. Some of us use scales and ride height gauges. Start off with dog bones level and adjust from there. Soft and loose suspension but keep it from bottoming out.

Welcome back, looks to be a good time. Can you set the truck up where you can hammer down a bit longer on the corners?
I had some steering issues...trying to hold a turn with power down made the front wheels wanna go straight.

Try to soften the suspension or get it in a way when you power through the turn you can slide it. I'm having the same issues with pavement and I made the truck too stiff
