Hello all,

Wow it flipped over and landed on tarmac and it was a clean break ! Boom.
Can it be welded for a temporary measure, until the new piece arrives...
I’m guesssing it’s only the small bit at the bottom that needs replacing not the complete suspension..?

That's part is connected with the shock shaft. No you need a new one, you could glue it but that won't hold. This is what y need
http://www.davesmotors.com/hpi-86449-vvc_hd-rear-shock-shafts-6-x-115mm.html or jus buy a new shock set which is pretty expensive new (original hpi)

Yes will do, just checked the rod is intact and I only need the grey cap.
Need to sort that out before the holidays.

It look like the shoe end thats all. There is a a lot on pressure on that point so I’m surprised they did it in harden plastic.

original HPI # #85410
You can get these from DDM, Ebay, local hobby stores, etc.

If not, Rovan, Ebay and Aliexpress all have aftermarket plastic or even aluminum ones, lots of options out there.

I know there are die hard HPI fans out there who are strongly against clone brands or aftermarket parts. You need to start thinking outside of the box since HPI parts aren't super common these days. Personally, I've had a King Motor Baja and IMO it was better than my current original HPI Baja in terms of durability. No reason not to source out small bits and bobs like this from china brands.
