better track handling

sorry dude, that pipe is a great pipe for the price, i have first hand experience with it and can be brought for £50,they give great power like the jetpros.
they are normally top end pipes but what people don't get is you don't even notice that until you get to 22/42 gears, with stock and 20/44 gears they wheelspin, wheely etc.
i think if your budget is £50,get one. they hold up well,no dints yet. if it was manufactured by a euro company it would be alot more money.
would be helpful if we new what you do with your buggy eg, drag, bashing, jumping, making tracks out of cones etc.
ive tried the jetpro, jetpro clone , my mates samba. they all give great improvement in power .for bashing use, any will do but the prices are very different, the average basher that blasts around a field will like them all , i wouldnt change mine for any other pipe on the market at the moment as im very happy but do like the performance of a few others ive seen. . i went for a high revving engine and pipe but still has plenty of torque.
i wish i had the before and after with the clone pipe. basically theyve copied jetpros design but sell at almost a 3rd the price.
as said above ,i don't know what sort of bashing you do,don't know what surfaces you run on, don't know what gears or wheelsize you use so i think all i just said is just my opinion on what i like, i think its best that you watch videos, read threads and then make up your own mind in the end. theres no point saying get a jetpro if you have a heavy truck and want mental torque and vice vbersa, also you might want a smooth pipe or a pipe that comes on aggresively! not everyone wants the same thing for their truck, some people like theirs to be overpowered and skittish, some like less power but a well controlled car ,some people like stock power , thats why i think its funny when people say don't get this engine, get this one beacuse it does this and that ,thinking everyone wants the same as they do lol... ive said before consider this engine but ive never said pick it over another, especially if i haven't used both motors im talking about
im probably talking about myself here too and there are others that do it religously but i give my opinion on stuff i used, tested .
some people came on before saying i had the wrong pipe and should have got an engine off another builder, they didnt even know what i was doing with the car.( im guilty too ,but i never push anything onto anyone because i use it or am a fanbwoy.) i didnt buy the obr because someone had one and said 'they are the best! most people say that about the engine they use anyway , my budget at the time would have got me most of the tuned engines on the market, basher or racer engine but i chose obr because they did everything i wanted them to plus more and i wanted max performance and it passed with flying colours . i know this because i can compare it to the stock engines ive had and the tuned engines, plus people let you know straight on most forums,if your deluded and think youve got the baddest motor out there some will put you straight but again on the other hand others will put it down because they use and swear by another companies products.

no one can know what the 'best ' piped or engine is unless theyve tested every single one, same with the pipe and 'best' means different thing to different people. if i think the better engine has more power(but still reliable) then thats the better engine for me, if someone need econemy and smooth delivery ,then that sort of motor is best for them, same with the pipes mate.

rant over , coming off the ragg soon
im talking in general not about anybody on this thread.

My x-can goes well (cue x-can haters ) and it sounds like a motox bike :D Its on my 2wd with stock Zen 26 and the bottom end kick is pretty good, keeps up with my mates 29cc with jetpro probably cos its a fat boy loaded with ally and he doesn't look after it properly!!

feck me hyper you been eating blue smarties all day mate just took me half hour reading all that:lol::lol:

but my pipes better than your pipe lol

you got 2 fg's? i thought you had a 2wd that you converted to 4wd?
ive never tried a xcan but heard they are loud (which normally isnt a problem for me)
sometimes jetpros and x cans do get slated mate ,the jetpro for lack of bottom end , loudness and being blingy??? lol and the xcan for having no expansion chamber and also being loud and blingyfied but im happy with mine , it has its strengths and weaknesses. we'll just have to make do with them i suppose lol.
that jp clone is definatly worth 50 squid mate , especially when you consider the performance you get for the price. obviously there are better pipes but maybe not for this price

i know mate, not smarties, more like a comedown from a bender drinking castrol (A747)super lol. SAY if started a thread saying i got a topend pipe and a 27cc motor for high speed runs someone will come on and tell me a torque pipes better and i should have got a nitro engine installed init.
your like me mate, if you see that someone has something nice,or something that works then we will tell them we like it and think its good, even if we wouldnt buy it or use it in the same way . no one has said anything to me lately f but ive seen it with others.
what im saying is we all do different stuff and have different criteria for picking diffrent pipes etc, there isnt 1 engine/pipe /carb thats good for everything .
anyweay your starting me off again lol... get lost..

I got 3 FG's mate - 1 x 4wd and 2 x 2wd :w00t: The 2wd's are in bits at the minute tho. 1 was supposed to be built up for sale to pay for the 4wd kit but I will prob keep them both now and get them built up for the kids to use as a step up from their Lunchboxes!! They will eventually want 1 so no point selling them and having to buy back a car I don't know the history of. Thats my excuse & Im sticking to it :D

I got everything thanks mate just need to build them up

here we go again 2 year long build coming up kids will be left home mate by the time youve fixxed them a marder each best send me the bits and i will help you out and give 1 a very good home:lol::lol:

you funny guy :lol::lol:

so renbar, dwarfy and hyper...you are obviously the main men on this forum...i like the banter and the length of your posts (hyper).....and the best thing is you obviously give sound, honest advice...much appreciated.

please look forward to loads more questions.

cheers mate but don't leave out mike1970 if you need to know anything about fg's or racing large scale hes the best bet and knows a trick or 2,,,most of what ive learnt has been from this site and theres some great members and ive made some good mates on here the only shame is most live so far away,,plus on here unless your names assad you don't get banned for speaking your mind and telling it how it is

respect to mike too then.

Ok....now down to the nitty gritty....I'm used to packing 1/8th truggy diffs with silicone but what grease do you use in a marder diff? Just stripped a spare one I bought of ebay and there's enough room in there to swing a cat (no reference to the poor cat on msuk),so I'm thinking a cheap non RC option might be popular and how much do you put in?

see i told you there would be more questions.

i just use castrol lm grease mate just ram it in you cant do nothing wrong by doing it so pack it in tight, but any other thick grease will work just as good the thicker the better most say as it gives a locking affect and helps the car from spinning up just one wheel

just what I was after, cheers.

I cant get over how crude the diff casing is on the FG...its a bit like sliding an empty toilet roll over the planetary gears....lol

you can get a stonger ribbed one from ebay there a lot stronger and don't dent or split after a stone gets wedged under it theres a good guide on here somewhere about sealing the diff and putting a smear of grease or oil around the diff when fitted then at the front you get some silicone and fill under the front this stops the stones getting under the diff

here you go found it worth doing mate just make sure the chassis is dry and clean or it don't stick

ok mate, i just spares i brought and may never use... get them put ttogether mate, you know how easy they are to put together.

talking for myself here mate, theres a big difference between the' main guys on here' and me being a jobless bum that has plenty of time to talk 5hit lol, im on here alot and enjoy talking to some of the lads. some forums are strict on rules, you see here that sometimes here we go off topic and have abit of a laugh.
talking about dwarthy ,ren and myself now, we all have fg's and have taken them apart thousands of times, upgraded ,replaced and swapped bits so can help out sometimes.

there are people on here with more experience in largescale then myself but like i said, messed with these marers/bugs alot. if you check through the forum youll see we are mostly in the engine/pipe, general and marder, beetle sections. we like fg.(i have a baja which i don't use as i like the layout much better of the fg.)

regarding the diff casing the stock ones are crap, both mine ended up with big dents from stones and was a pain to get off, tbh im looking for a diff now(without gears on it) as i have a 45 diff gear to try on tarmac, that way i just swap the diff if needed for higher speed and obviously layshaft to suit.its not practical but ive gone as far up on the outside 2 gears i id like to. but yes the ribbed ones have more of a sensation to them and the woman love them lol...(well ren did)
i use casrrol lm grease too but make sure you seal the diff properly with some silicone or something but it finds a way out sometimes and leaks, maybe my shoddy attempt at sealing it !
