Sound like what you really need is 2 vehicles, one for the track and one for all out speed.tsudo5th said:I have the stock 30.4cc with jetpro and 990 Carb. Trenchers for tires. I am trying to figure out when engine goes to get a torquer for the track or a rev machine. I would love opinions in both directions. Still learning.
Completely agree. The 27.2 is a balanced engine. You really get the best of both worlds, it revs high, yet has plenty of torque. Gearing makes a big difference, as well. Good points.alfred e numan said:yes, i agree. there is no repacement for displacement - launching from corner to corner. There is another angle - Its the F-270. If a r-c was geared perfectly for the track its running on- geared a little low- The Little 270 with the 990 and a rev pipe would hang with about anything- just like a dirt bike-90% is the driver- not the machine.- In the world of off road r-c, I would do doubt keep the track tenders busy pulling the car out of the bushes!
Get a quote of him to build a engine for you. If he has had training from Trevor then he should know his stuff.tsudo5th said:The xb runs the 29-31 right? I have these gears and its fast but not off the line on mt. There is an engine builder at the track that knows and learned his porting from Trevor Simpson. He suggested a 29cc mild port. Anyone run a 29cc?
