just ran its first tank through, KM T1000 with the 30.5 and it seems every rull revolution of the brake rotors they bind up, if i pull the truck across the floor its enough to notice, when running it a few times it would even slow the truck while coasting. any ideas? thanks!

also the idle started to fluctuate after running it through the first tank, would hope its not an air leak, i checked every bolt possible the day i got it, pulled the motor and put on outerwears on everything and filled the diff with 10,000k fluid, i did notice the binding brakes out of the box but figured a little running might "loosen" that up.

thanks again for any advice

Like any RTR (as I call 'em "Ready to Rebuild", you will need to go through everything and adjust as necessary.

You can try loosening the retension knob on the back of the throttle/break linkage, but ideally make sure your servo is setup correctly.

If the idle is fluctuating, I would first check everything is mechanically setup correctly with the throttle/break servo. It sounds to me like there is neutral binding.

it seems that most of the brakes binding up has to do with the disks somehow, they "freeplay" a little, but once every full revolution or so they become very tight and hard to move, and from what i can see its almost exactly every full revolution of the disks. the brake setup on my truck is 2 disks with a star shaped spacer between them. thanks again for the help!

Disconnect the servo from the linkage so there is no tension on the brakes. Roll the buggy, if it still drags the same every revolution then there is binding somewhere in the drivetrain.

thats ecactly what i just finished up doing, its definitely the rotors, then i roll the truck ill feel the rotors as they spin, there is freeplay in them, when they start to go tight is when the problem occurs. not sure why they are doing this though

It could be possible that you simply have a defectiy rotor. The best test you could do is to take it out and lay it on a perfectly flat surface. If it's not flat then just replace it.

is you layshaft straight?
also check the clutch holder if your running a stock alloyone, sometimes those are machined incorrectly and force the engine and trans to misalign,
