I don't know what you mean by boost mate. Whats it supposed to do/be?

I believe K&N filter oil is for paper filters, you may be running the stock foam filter in which case that oil is no good.
 
problem

k&n oil filter is only good to use on paper element type filter use the one suitable for foam type element. you mean boost bottle don't buy it its a waste of money invest it on good quality tune pipe like the DDM top end pipe or better yet if you really want a good producing pipe VRC is the best pipe out available

its not the oil that can damage its the tiny debri can get in thru the airfilter element try avoid using that oil switch it up to propare oil filter you can buy them @ motorcycle shop or once again go to Canadian Tire @ their snowmobile/motorbike section its cheap

I have a K&N filter on my marder & just bought a £2 foam pre filter to fit over the top rather than replace the full filter unit. Oil up the pre filter & away you go :cool2:

many options and mod you can try to make your air filtration system work for you best main key is to prevent tiny particle from entering the intake therfore causing major engine damage in other words protect and save money ;-)..
 
petrol cleans them in no time! come out like new in secods!

ive run 15 litres through 2 air filters (clean and swap as they get dirty) and never had a problem.
 
I always wash mine in warm soapy water.....but I don't use filter oil either.....I use canola cooking oil....it works a treat.

I'm also a tight ass.:clown::blush:
